In 2018, the beach hut was open for the first year, with all proceeds to Southwold & Dunwich RNLI. A total of £2.3k was donated to the Southwold Lifeboat station.
In 2019, a total of £4.1k was donated to our local lifeboat station and the money is going towards the funding of a new storage facility for Southwold RNLI. Thanks goes to Inn Style who kindly donated this online booking system and website.
Amazingly, during the Covid-19 pandemic, a total of £3.8k was donated to Southwold lifeboat station in 2020. Funds were split between the station for the completion of the storage facility and also the local fundraising branch.
For the summer of 2021 and 2022, Sole Bay Hut 6 donated £4k each year to our local Lifeboat Fundraising branch. This wouldn't have been possible without the support of the Sole Bay Swimming volunteers who clean and check the hut.
2023 will be the 6th year of this beach hut being hired out in order to raise money for the RNLI, thanks to the generosity of the owner Mark Eaton and his family. This summer raised £3.8k for our local Lifeboat Station.
